Busy, busy! - Tuesday May 10, 2011

Lots going on here :) I just finished my 5th day of work today. This week I am working Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri from 8am-1:30pm with a few more duties on my list than last week. Today at work I did some work with counting money for a social event and entering it in the ledgers and on the computer so that was nice and challenging for my brain - I noticed my brain felt the strain but I did the task well and with no errors so that was good! Thankfully the whopper of a headache that I was experiencing the first couple of days has died down a ton and now it's more in the background and not dragging me down as much. I keep hoping that when I have a few days with less of a headache that it will stay that way but so far every time it comes back again ... but maybe this time!

Tomorrow I am off work which is great because we are having our Coffee Break social and doing up a salad planter with our ladies church group. I haven't been able to come to Coffee Break in quite a while because I was going to the Head Injury centre every day for so long so this will be a real treat to get together again. I've missed my friends at Coffee Break!

I also got an email today asking if I'm available to be on the worship team this Sunday again - since I love to sing I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm hoping to do a clean sweep of our stuff in the next bit. Colin set me up a facebook page to list a bunch of stuff that I want to sell over the next while and I also plan to list them on a few local groups. I'm hoping to get rid of a ton of kids stuff including clothes and toys, some household stuff, and I think Colin is hoping to clean out his garage and list some excess tools. I know we won't be getting rich but it will be nice to see if we can make a few extra dollars on some of the things we don't use or need anymore.

Oh and we also are planning to have a whole bunch of girls over on Saturday to help Kristina celebrate her 10th birthday! Her birthday was on March 22 but I was still in pretty rough shape back then so she graciously agreed to postpone her party until I was feeling a bit better. She has invited the girls from her class to come and is really looking forward to it. I'm hoping to do a bit of a "spa" theme - should be fun!

Also, Owen will be celebrating his 5th Birthday on Sunday - I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast! Sunday is shaping up to be a busy day - I'll be singing in the morning and we're also hosting our small group social that night as well. I wonder if there's any sunshine in the forecast for the weekend? Today was beautiful again and I'm just itching to get the rest of my garden planted!

Wow, I didn't think I had all that much to post today but I guess I was wrong after this long winded entry! Hopefully everyone is doing well! I'll be busy with party planning for the rest of this week but I'll be sure to post some photos after Kristina's party.
