The cherries are ready and we picked a whole lot of cherries yesterday! I'm currently in the process of canning 24 cups of Cherry Pie Filling and I have 3 large containers of cherries that are perfect for eating in the fridge! Plus both of our neighbours took ladders up the tree and picked a bunch too!
Brant has an opportunity to attend a special phsyical therapy summer day camp in August at Cultus Lake (unfortunately it is the same week as the Devries reunion :( ) and has been given a scholarship to attend since it wasn't funded by our At Home Funding. He will also be starting private Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy once a week in August that is fully funded through the At Home Program which I am very excited about! Hopefully the extra therapies will give him that edge he needs to be successful in Kindergarten next year!
We are having a nice lazy summer. Thankfully Brant's pneumonia and strep throat are gone now. Kristina is driving me a little crazy but that's ok :) She is one of those kids that doesn't stop making noise all day - whether singing or humming or talking or tapping. She has been having fun playing "teacher" at "school" with the boys and doing lots of crafts. And Owen is into everything like a typical 2 year old boy. He still loves hockey but has found a new summer love - FOOTBALL!! You should hear how he says it, kind of in a low growly "Tim the toolman Taylor" kind of voice - very funny!
Well I better get back to my canning and bowmaking! I have a bow order that has to be ready today (I've been making bows to sell, you can see them here: www.dipsydaisy.blogspot.com)
Hope everyone is having a great summer!!!

Hi I'm Katrina, wife to Colin, mom to Kristina, Brant, and Owen. This blog was created to keep family and friends updated on the goings on in our lives ... the joys and challenges of raising three children. You will often see me posting about Down syndrome awareness as our son Brant has Down syndrome.
