Apples!

Yesterday we picked over 10 gallons of apples from our transparent apple tree! And there's still more up there! We made a whole bunch of applesauce, 6 pies, and I'm straining juice to make apple jelly. It has been a family affair with Colin and Kristina peeling, and I have been cutting and preparing. Owen helped pick the apples and Brant is always ready with the next apple to pass to the peeling squad :)

Isn't summer fun. Too bad its too short. It seems that summer goes byu way to fast! There's so much to do and everything seems to come at the same time. This week apples, next week raspberries and then the blackberries start! Mom

Oooh I can't wait for the blackberries! And raspberries too. Colin is hoping to get a flat of raspberries for me to make into jam this week or next! I'm wondering, do I have to do the parrafin wax seal on jams? I've never made canning jam before!
